Autumn Misty Morn, Heart Lake
| This photo was taken in The Adirondacks, near Lake Placid, New York. The mountainside,
which is rich in autumn color of reds and oranges, is bathed in early morning sunlight.
The middle portion of the photo has mist rising from Heart Lake and the
foreground, which is in shadow, is deep blue in color. The mountainsides are softly and
diffusely reflected in the lake. The mountain, lightly dusted with snow, is Algonquin Peak,
the second tallest mountain in the Adirondacks. No filter was used. |
