Grand Teton Sunrise

This spring sunrise photograph was taken of the Teton Range, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. The pink, early morning sunlight bathed mountains are in contrast with the green conifers and other vegetation, which are in shadow. Standing in front of these mountains, which are some of the most beautiful in North America, is always a spiritual and awe inspiring event because the mountains rise 6000 to 7000 feet above the plateau (which is already at an altitude of over 6000 feet).
