Lower Falls, Yellowstone, 1985
| This powerful photo of the 308-foot high Lower Falls was taken during or
just after a snowstorm on Columbus Day weekend. This image, of white,
green and browns, contrasts the snow; the green and white snow covered
conifer trees; the white waterfall and green river water; and the browns
of the canyon wall. The image leaves the viewer with the impression of
extreme cold. |
