Pathway to the Sky

This is a view of the lichen encrusted boulder strewn tundra from Trail Ridge Road, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. The image utilizes the S shape of the path that runs from left to right to "pull" the eye into the center of the image, past the mountains and right up into the clouds and the sky. The image contrasts the boulder-strewn tundra, the mountains, and the number of cumulus clouds and the strong blue of the sky.
