Yellow Slippers

This portrait of the snowy egret was taken near Flamingo, Everglades National Park, Florida. Taken in the warm light of early morning or late afternoon, the bird was captured on film as it was taking a step with one of its yellow "slippers". The image contrasts the warmly lit white and yellow bird with the characteristic S-shaped neck with the background of reeds and other vegetation. Fuji Photo Film, USA is expected to use this photo.
